Hey BBQ Family! 

Last weekend I was honored when our church asked me to prepare food for the Founder's Day celebration. In addition to being a day of special significance that commererates the anniversary of the church's founding, it also served as our church's first large special event in over two years.

I was asked to prepare chicken party wings. How I cooked them and the flavor profile was left to my discretion so I decided to go with two recipes. I chose lemon pepper for the first recipe because it would probably be a familar flavor to most everyone.


I also wanted to include a wing flavor that most have not experienced. For the second type, I combined the lemon pepper rub with The BBQ Rub by Killer Hogs. The BBQ Rub has a sweetness that combines well with the tart salty flavor from lemon pepper and it also gave the wings a reddish color that contrasted well with the yellow hue of the lemon pepper wings. The wings were a huge hit and it was especially gratifying to help make a large group happy with my barbeque. Being of service and helping others through barbeque is my mission. I sincerely hope that this newsletter helps you do the same with your barbeque!
